THIS VOLUME, DEUTERONOMY/DEVARIM, IS THE FIFTH OF FIVE commentaries on the five books of Moses. These five volumes are a compilation of information I have gleaned from years of teaching Torah. It contains information that I have personally uncovered as well as a great amount of understanding from many other sources. These other sources have been noted to give them the credit they are due and also that you may seek them for additional personal studies on your own.
My intention in compiling these books is to enable small Torah study groups that are just getting started to have enough material to teach the methods of interpretation and to show some of the vast amounts of information that is hidden beneath the surface. I hope you enjoy reading this work as much as I have enjoyed collecting it over the years.
Chumash is the English spelling of the Hebrew word for the number five, meaning the five books of Moses. These are the books, Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy. These books are the very foundation of everything written in the Word of our Creator. Everything that is said anywhere in the Bible has its foundation in these five books.
